Get Your Research Published Consistently

And build confidence in your academic career

Discover the proprietory 3-part writing system that busy professors like you use to reliably write research papers in 8 weeks or less.

Let's be honest. Most academic writing advice misses the point.

Smart, ambitious early-career researchers are left to figure out on their own how to:

  • write a paper that gets past the journal editor of top-tier publications
  • structure the writing process efficiently so they can complete a paper in a controlled time frame
  • make writing happen with a busy academic calendar

As a result, too many assistant professors and other academics are stuck procrastinating on their writing and drowning in a long backlog of papers

Illustration of a woman with blonde hair using a laptop at a desk. she wears an orange shirt and appears content and focused on her work.

I've worked with hundreds of successful academics over the past decade as an academic writing coach.

I've worked with hundreds of successful academics over the past decade as an academic writing coach.

Here's what I hear constantly:

  • Writing a paper being slooooooow for them
  • Getting papers desk-rejected in the top journals of their field even though they have great data
  • Having several disorganised article drafts so they don’t know where to even start
  • Viewing writing as a chore so they avoid it until they binge-write close to a deadline often eating up evenings and weekends
  • Constantly pushing writing to the bottom of the to-do list because teaching, admin and meetings demand all their time
  • Feeling like an imposter especially when it’s their job to teach their trainees how to write
  • Feeling guilty and stressed because of the above

In order to get their stagnant publishing pipeline moving, many researchers try to follow common writing advice like this:

Stack of academic papers and Anna's glasses on her desk
  • Writing first thing in the morning (which doesn’t work if your kids are awake before you)
  • Free-writing messy first drafts to avoid the intimidating blank page (which means you then get caught in countless revisions later on)
  • Starting to write the paper early into a new research project (only to then having to completely rewrite it when the story changes after more data is collected and analysed)
  • Setting themselves daily word goals to hit (ending up with a long and bloated paper instead of a clear and concise one)
  • Blocking off whole days to get a lot of writing done (but then not show up for it because it’s hard to keep a writing date with just yourself, especially for big blocks!)
  • Trying to get each paragraph, each sentence perfect before they hit submit (which is frustrating, time-consuming and delays publication)
  • Using AI hoping it will speed up the process and make your writing sound better (but without intensive input on your end all AI can do is give you a generic draft that will be hard to get published)
  • Endlessly rewriting their paper hoping it will tell a story (wasting time because nobody ever gave them a step-by-step framework)

Misdirected and surface-level advice like this is ineffective because it doesn't address the core problem.

Academia doesn't set you up with the writing system that you need to succeed.

It's
an unfair system that favours researchers who were able to learn the process of writing papers for high-ranking journals from their mentor.

It's easy to break into top publications if you're part of a lab with a big name attached to it. But once you're your own PI, you don't have access to that mentorship anymore.

Your only option used to be spending thousands of dollars on developmental editing. That's easily $2000+ for EACH paper you write. And making the process of getting your data submitted to a journal even longer.

But there is a different way.

I have seen time and time again that it is possible for Assistant Professors to sustain a steady stream of publications without having to sacrifice their private life.

Dr Anna Clemens smiling while working at a laptop in between the Researchers' Writing Academy assistants Andrea Frye and Yvonne Rimar

What if 8 weeks from now, you had a draft submitted to that top journal in your field you've been setting your sight on.

The writing process gave you so much momentum, you already look forward to starting your next article.

Yes, you'd even say you enjoy writing now.

And you show up for your writing regularly. You now have a proper writing routine that you feel good about.

Whenever you start a writing session, you know exactly which writing task to work on because you have a plan to clear your backlog in the most strategic way.

And then you get into deep focus fast

You have so much confidence in yourself as a writer now you feel in control of your academic career

I want you to have a self-directed, fulfilling and fruitful career in academia, no matter which group you're coming from.

Imagine you had a streamlined writing and publishing system that gets your research published consistently.

That's what's available to you, starting now, today.

You don't have to spend 10+ years figuring this out through desk-rejection after desk-rejection. Maybe giving up on your dream of an academic career entirely.

I want to see smart researchers like you who do meaningful, important work succeed.

The world needs you.

"Before joining the Researchers’ Writing Academy, I was questioning if I belonged in academia – AND whether or not someone was going to figure out! My writing was disorganised and the feedback I would often get was something along the lines of “we don’t think your research fits in our journal” even though I thought it fitted perfectly.

The Researchers’ Writing Academy has helped me understand in a tangible way how to communicate my research through storytelling. And I already got a Revise & Resubmit! I got so much confidence from this program and this is a big deal for me. Now I’m fully committed to my academic career!

Anna demonstrates in the course that she actually knows the information she’s teaching and isn’t just regurgitating what others have said in the past. She really hooks her audience!

On a broader level, I have understood that we researchers aren’t just all bad communicators. Rather, the reason why we often don’t communicate well is that we don’t know the process or structure to communicate better. And that’s fixable!"

Dr Jourdan DavisDr Jourdan DavisAssistant Professor, University of North Carolina, United States

In case we haven't met yet...

Hey, I’m Dr Anna Clemens, the go-to academic writing coach for assistant professors who want to use a proven scientific storytelling framework to make it easy to get their papers published (and more enjoyable to read!).

In 8+ years of working with researchers, I’ve found that academic careers often stall (even if they do interesting and solid research) when the researchers lack the skill of writing journal articles that are desk-rejection-proof

Inside the Researchers’ Writing Academy, I have already taught 700 researchers and counting to get published consistently so they are in control of their academic trajectory. My clients have gotten papers published in high-ranking journals such as Nature Communications, Nature Materials, Chemical Society Reviews, One Earth, ACS Nano, Annals of Rheumatic Diseases, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Cancer Research, and many more.

I'm neither your typical academic writing coach who only helps you finding time to write nor am I an editor who only gives you feedback on an already finished paper. Instead I'll teach you step-by-step how to turn your data into a compelling manuscript fast AND help you actually show up for your writing.

Here's my promise to you: I won't ever waste your time.

You won't need to watch hours upon hours of bloated lessons, or doing abstract writing exercises. I will give you the exact steps and tools you need so that you can start developing your own paper and show up for your writing consistently.

"I absolutely love, love the course. Anna gave me a formula that really makes sense. Once I watched the first module, I was hooked!

During my enrollment, I worked on two first-author papers using the Journal Publication Formula. One of them was recently published.

I consider myself fortunate that I found out about the Researchers’ Writing Academy."

Dr Katia CanenguezDr Katia CanenguezAssistant Professor, Harvard Medical School/ Massachusetts General Hospital, US

"Anna’s formula turns a complicated and oftentimes daunting task into an easy to follow method. This formula removed the barriers I had in my writing process, and helped me with task initiation, organization, and goal-making.

I now have a clearly written manuscript that delivers my results, and demonstrates their impact from the first sentence to the last."

THE JOURNAL PUBLICATION FORMULA
SCIENTIFIC WRITING COURSE

This no-fluff self-paced online course guides you through the whole process to time-efficiently write a desk-rejection-proof paper step by step. You get to implement each step immediately using the provided templates, worksheets and checklists.

This is the framework that ensures that you know exactly how to start writing and where to stop. No more never-ending iterations with co-authors! I'll show you what should go in each section of your paper making sure you're communicating even complicated concepts clearly.

The Journal Publication Formula takes away the pressure of selling your paper by organising your whole paper around the honest story your data is telling. And that's what will make your paper intrinsically compelling to read, which is... the secret to massively decrease your chances to get desk-rejected.

The Journal Publication Formula has about 8h of core course content divided into short, easily digestible lessons.

Writing FEEDBACK calls
Live group sessions

You don't have to implement the Journal Publication Formula all on your own. Every month, we host 2x Writing Feedback Calls where you can receive tailored reviews of your writing, storyboards, figures or whatever else you need and get all your questions answered.

Our members have told us that even when they don't have anything to submit themselves, watching someone elses writing get reviewed is helpful to their own writing, even if it's a completely different field.

The Feedback Calls are also a fantastic opportunity to connect with the other members in the Academy.

Weekly Check-Ins
High-touch Accountability

Inside the Researchers' Writing Academy, you will be part of a holistic accountability structure, a feature our members love.

We check in with you every Sunday prompting you to plan your writing for the week with our guiding prompts. On Fridays, we follow up with you and invite you to share how your week went. This helps you stay on track with your writing week by week.

Through the check-ins you'll also practice setting realistic goals -- a skill that once mastered will make you feel sooo good about your writing and how much you get done!

CO-WRITING
Scheduled writing in community

Meeting up with others on Zoom to co-write in a facilitated session will be your new productivity superpower. 💪

It's hard to commit to writing dates with just ourselves consistently because more urgent (or let's be honest, often just more vocal) or less cognitively demanding tasks are competing for our time. But when you have a time blocked in your calendar, a small group of writers keeping you company, you'll be able to show up for your writing regularly and get your brain used to getting into deep focus fast.

You get to attend 1h-long Co-Writing Sessions several times per week. Here's our current schedule (may get adapted depending on demand):

  • Mondays: 9-10am EST / 3-4pm CET
  • Mondays: 4-5pm EST
  • Tuesdays: 8-9am AEDT
  • Tuesdays: 9-10am CET / 7-8pm AEDT
  • Tuesdays: 6-7pm EST
  • Wednesdays: 10-11am AEDT
  • Wednesdays: 10-11am CET / 8-9pm AEDT
  • Thursdays: 7-8pm CET / 1-2pm EST

But that's not all.

You also get access to 3h-long "retreat style" co-writing sessions that we call Mini Writing Retreats, 4x per month across different time zones.

Here's how the Mini Retreats are structured:

  • We start with a quick check-in and guided goalsetting for each of the upcoming sessions
  • Before we get into writing, we do a 5-minute meditation to set us up for deep focus
  • Between each writing session, we have a 10-minute break where we briefly reflect on how the session went, update our plan for the next session, and most importantly, get up and move
  • We end each retreat celebrating on what we got done.

Our members are so productive during these Mini Retreats, they've started using the same structure when they're writing for longer blocks on their own.

Our current Mini Writing Retreat schedule looks like this (may get adapted depending on demand):

  • 1x/month: morning CET / evening AEST
  • 2x/ month: afternoon CET / morning EST
  • 1x/month: afternoon EST / morning AEST

BONUS Reading Inspiration:
The RWA BOok Club

Many of our members love reading and we like to stay up-to-date with books on topics such as productivity, time, energy and stress management, slowing down, staying sane in academia, dropping the ball, resisting perfectionism etc. We meet roughly every two months to discuss a book. A few member favourites in the RWA Book Club have been "Slow Productivity" by Cal Newport, "Making time to write" by Cathy Mazak and "How to Take Smart Notes" by Sönke Ahrens. We welcome your suggestions!

"Before enrolling in the Researchers’ Writing Academy, I felt like I was drowning in a writing sea. I had the world of time and resources but I simply did not know what to write.

I followed Anna’s structured writing plan and I could see that my writing started to flow. The storytelling approach kickstarts the process of writing a paper for me and my introduction sections aren’t lengthy anymore but focused. I actually started to enjoy the writing process itself! I always knew I had it in me, and the Researchers’ Writing Academy was the key to that portal. This is by far the best course I have ever attended (not only on writing but in general)!

As soon as I finished the course, I produced two papers. I am now publishing actual papers that I believe anyone would love to read! And that is my foundation stone for the science journey I am about to embark on."

"Before enrolling in the Researchers' Writing Academy, I approached academic writing as something tedious that I needed to do. I struggled to know what story I wanted to tell in my papers and my writing always seemed kind of chunky and disconnected. More often than not, my co-authors and I would end up having an editing nightmare!

Now, after joining the course, I have confidence in my writing skill. I know exactly what I need to do, how to structure paragraphs and how to make my writing flow. Anna is very patient with her students and able to pick up the story of a paper quickly - no matter the research field.

Writing a paper with co-authors is now a much smoother process. I can now write a draft in just four weeks – if I’m clear on my results and fully in writing mode. The other big change is that I have started to really enjoy writing. Being able to see a year-long project turn into a well-written manuscript is so much fun!

Since enrolling in the course, my papers read so much better and I have already published one paper (that was highlighted by the journal as paper of the month!) and two more are on the way!"

Dr Jia NgDr Jia NgAssistant Professor, Zucker School of Medicine, US

"Writing was dreadful for me. I had to write one last paper from my PhD and I had no motivation to do that because the paper had been rejected twice already and I had moved to a new role and discipline.

The Journal Publication Formula gave me that clear vision of why people should care about the research and that made it easier to write the paper! It helped me organise my thoughts and the structure of the paper. The paper is under review now, so it passed the first test: It didn’t get desk-rejected!

The prorgram helped me to enjoy writing and I think it made me a better academic! Because if you enjoy writing papers, you are going to write more of them.

The program is definitely worth the money spent because you get the hang of how you want to structure your papers. Going through the process of the Journal Publication Formula gave me confidence into defining my own voice and what I wanted my papers to be like. It’s an investment into my future self."

Researchers from top institutions around the world have already joined the RWA.

Current members and alumni of the Researchers’ Writing Academy are based at the Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), Stanford University (US), University of Michigan (US), University of Cambridge (UK), Harvard Medical School (US), ETH Zürich (Switzerland), University of Edinburgh (UK), The Arctic University of Norway, National Institute of Health (NIH; US), National Health Service (NHS; UK), Cornell University (US), University of Auckland (NZ), Karolinska Institute (SE), Trinity College Dublin (IE), MIT (US), Yale University (US), CNRS (France), Heidelberg University (DE), Cancer Research UK, Emory University (US) and many, many more.

SO LET'S TALK ABOUT...

Who is a good fit for the Researchers' Writing Academy?

You may be wondering whether the Researchers' Writing Academy is the right program for you. Let's be super clear.

YOU SHOULD JOIN THE RWA IF:

  • You are a researcher in the physical, health, life or social sciences who does empirical research (qualitative or quantitative) in disciplines such as medicine, chemistry, biology, psychology, education, physics, nursing and more.
  • You are ready to write a research paper or alreday have a backlog of papers in draft. For the writing process we teach you, you should have your data collected and analysed or a draft in progress.
  • You are an Assistant Professor, Professor, Postdoc, PhD student, pracademic or (industrial) researcher who has published none, one, or multiple articles already and is ready to implement a time-efficient writing system so you can stop sacrificing your private life and emotional bandwidth for your academic career.
  • You want to learn a systematic approach to write quality research papers fast so you can make time to actually do the science and get the recognition that you deserve.
  • You are tired of dreading writing and want to acually start enjoying it (our members have shown it's possible even if you don't currently think of yourself as a talented writer!)

Who isn't a good fit for the Researchers' Writing Academy?

The Researchers' Writing Academy is not for everyone. Please close this page if any of the below are true.

YOU SHOULDN'T JOIN THE RWA IF:

  • You are an academic in the humanities and don't write papers based on data you have gathered.
  • You are an editor or academic writing coach looking for professional development. This is not a train-the-trainer type of program.
  • You are looking for a way to oversell weak science. We are supporting researchers with the goal for their solid and interesting data to have a meaningful impact in the world, not turn data lacking rigour into glossy outputs.
  • You are looking for an AI tool to write your whole paper for you.
We help you structure and sharpen your thinking so you can write a strong article other researchers want to read, not produce generic AI slop. We believe that it's essential for every researcher to learn to master the skill of communicating your science effectively.
  • You aren't ready for a 12-month commitment. The Researchers' Writing Academy is an annual membership. We want you to a) become super confident about your writing by applying the Journal Publication Formula to multiple manuscripts, and b) build a robust and sustainable writing practice stress-tested throughout all the different seasons of the academic year.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the Researchers' Writing Academy work for me?
Will this work for my paper? The proprietary method that we teach inside the RWA works for papers that are based on empirical studies, i.e. based on qualitative or quantitative data that you collected.

What fields is this program designed for?The Researchers' Writing Academy will be an excellent fit for you if you’re in the fields of physical science (chemistry, physics), health sciences (medicine), life sciences (biology), environmental sciences (geology, earth science) or social sciences (education, psychology etc.) and similar disciplines and write papers based on data you collected.

We’ve also had members apply it to their research in mathematics and computer science but we may have a harder time helping you with papers in these fields because they are often structured differently. If you’re unsure, please just reach out – we always give you an honest answer on whether we think you would benefit from the program.

Do I have to be an Assistant Professor to enrol? Which career stage is the program most suitable for?The Researchers’ Writing Academy is a great fit for researchers at all career stages and in different positions. The program will meet you where you’re at, whether you:

- have already written several papers and would like to improve your process, reduce your backlog or learn how to break through into higher tier publications,

- are about to start writing your first research paper and would like step-by-step guidance so you can build your repeatable writing system from the very start,

- have a research position at a university or industry or work as a pracademic.

If you’re curious, the biggest groups of members currently inside the Researchers’ Writing Academy are Assistant Professors, followed by Postdocs, PhD students, Associate Professors, Full Professors and other types of researchers.

Will the RWA help me write a grant proposal or thesis? The method we teach inside the Researchers’ Writing Academy, the Journal Publication Formula, is super focused on developing and writing a quality scientific paper time-efficiently. None of the lessons go into the particularities of writing a grant proposal or thesis.

However, you can easily apply the Scientific Storytelling Framework and the more general writing tips (such as the 5 foundations of clear and concise writing and how to structure sentences and paragraphs so they flow) to a grant proposal or a thesis. In fact, many of our members have done this very successfully – receiving top marks and high success rates with submitted grants!

We’d be more than happy to give you feedback on any writing you submit via one of our Feedback Calls but please know that our expertise is specifically on writing research papers.

Will the RWA work in my time zone?Yes, the program is designed to be available to researchers all over the world! All course lessons are recorded and available to you at any time. Our live events are facilitated across many different time zones. Here's the breakdown:

*Co-Writing: To view the current schedule for Co-Writing Sessions and Mini Writing Retreats, please scroll up to where these are described in detail for the exact times.

*Writing Feedback Calls: Currently (generally) facilitated on Tuesdays, 1x/month at 10am CET (7pm AEST) and 1x/month at 4pm CET (10am EST). Recordings are available within 24 hours and for the next 12 months.

*Monthly Planning Workshops: Currently (generally) facilitated on Tuesdays, 1x/month at 4pm CET (10am EST). Recordings are available within 24 hours and for the next 12 months.

As we grow in members from different time zones, we are adding more call times to accomodate as many members as possible!

How much time will I need to invest? If you can carve out at first just 1-2 hours per week most weeks for writing, learning to write and planning your writing, that will be enough. After a few months or weeks, you'll probably be eager to increase your writing time, but that's completely up to you, your schedule and your goals.

I know that most likely your schedule is very busy right now. This is why the Journal Publication Formula, the core online course, doesn't have any fluff. It gives you the knowledge you need with helpful worksheets for each step and the total viewing time is only 8 hours across the whole writing process. My recommendation is that you only watch the lesson you need for the step in the writing process you're in.

All program components are designed to save you time in the writing process:

*We facilitate co-writing to help you make time for writing throughout the week.

*We facilitate super effective 1h-long planning workshops every month to help you know exactly where you can invest your time to the highest leverage each month. Because it could be that you're busy but not with the things that actually move the needle in your career!

*We check in with you every week to make sure that writing doesn't fall to the bottom of your to-do list.

If getting published consistently is a priority for you right now, then joining the Researchers' Writing Academy will help you achieve this on the fast-track! 🙌

Questions about the Researchers' Writing Academy
Is this is live synchronous program? How often do I need to show up to calls? This is totally up to you! The Researchers' Writing Academy is a hybrid program -- think "flipped classroom" model -- to use your time in the most effective way. The course lessons are pre-recorded videos which means you can watch them on your own schedule, on double speed, and as often as you like. Our community is always open for you to interact asynchronously with us and other members.

To get your questions answered on what you've learned, and feedback on what you've written, we get together live twice per month on our Writing Feedback Calls. But don't worry if you can't make it live, we record these calls and you can get your questions answered and your writing reviewed even if you're not there.

Every month, we also meet on Zoom to plan our writing for the month on our Monthly Writing Planning Workshops. Recordings and workbooks are available if you can't make it so you have all the guidance when planning on your own.

And trust me, you'll want to join some of our Co-Writing Sessions (that we facilitate multiple times per week). They're helping so many of our members write regularly and get SO much done.

Will I be able to get feedback on my writing?Yes! That's what our Writing Feedback Calls are for that we host 2x per month. As a member, you can submit in advance a question or a part of your paper for review for each Writing Feedback Call.

On the call, you will get feedback from Anna and will be able to discuss it live. Even when you don't have something to submit, these calls are great to see how the Journal Publication Formula can be applied to different research fields. It's SO useful to see even if it's not your field! Plus, meeting the other members and seeing the progress they're making on their papers is always inspiring and motivating. 💃

Is there 1:1 support inside the RWA?Yes, the Researchers' Writing Academy is a group program with 1:1 support elements.

Every month you can get a tailored review of your writing by submitting to our Writing Feedback Calls!

We also check in with you personally (if you want) every week on your writing plans and how they went inside our Accountability Club.

Are you teaching how to use AI to write research papers? No. We teach you how to develop the necessary thinking and writing skills to be able to turn your data into a submission-ready draft that's clear, concise and compelling. It's a skill that is -- in our opinion -- very essential to have as a researcher. In our experience, using AI slows down the process and decreases the quality of your paper. We only ever recommend using AI for later stages of the writing process, such as copy-editing and proof-reading BUT ONLY once you used the Journal Publication Formula and made sure that your paper has a cohesive structure.

Will I get a certificate after finishing the program?Of course! Just reach out to us and we're happy to assist with issuing what you need.

Is the RWA always open for enrolment?Yes. The Researchers' Writing Academy is always open for enrolment so you can join when you're ready to prioritise getting published consistently.

Generally, the sooner you join us the faster you will reach your publishing and career goals so we highly recommend joining as soon as you can.

Membership + Payment Questions
Do I have to enrol for a full year?Yes. The Researchers' Writing Academy is an annual membership. This is because we want you to a) become super confident about your writing by applying the Journal Publication Formula to multiple manuscripts, and b) build a robust and sustainable writing practice stress-tested throughout all the different seasons in the academic year.

Even if you choose to pay monthly, you initially commit for 12 months.

After your first year in the RWA, you will be able to decide on a monthly basis whether you want to continue or not, if you're on the monthly billing cycle.

What if I can't afford the program? If you aren't able to pay for the annual membership to the RWA at once ($997 USD/year), there are several options.

Firstly, there is a monthly payment option, where you pay only $97 USD/month for the first 12 months of your membership.

Please also keep in mind: You may not need to pay for this program out of your own (personal) pocket. If you have a research grant, you will likely be allowed to allocate some of the funding to professional development, i.e. this program.

Your department, institution or research group may also have funds for you to pay for the course. Here's a blog post I wrote on how you can go about securing university funds for your professional development (including a pitch template).

For researchers in low-income countries we are currently developing a sponsorship program. Please stay tuned!

Can I buy several licences at once for the members of my research group?Yes! And we have a deal for you when you buy several licences at once: We offer a 30% discount if you enrol 6 or more researchers at once. Please submit this form and we‘ll issue an invoice for you right away.

If you want your whole department or campus get access to the Researchers' Writing Academy at a flat rate price, please contact us

Can you issue an invoice with my university's details?Yes, of course. Please just reach out if you need anything from us at all to help get your membership reimbursed or paid for by your university.

If you want to pay by credit card, you can submit your payment right away and then reach out to us to issue an invoice or receipt for you.

If you want to pay by bank transfer, please reach out via this form and include your university's billing name and address, VAT number (if you're in the EU) as well as any other billing details you would need to have on the invoice. We'll typically issue your invoice within 48 hours, and will enrol you once payment is received.

Can I/my university pay by bank transfer?Yes, that's possible. If you want to pay by bank transfer, please just reach out via this form and include your university's billing name and address, VAT number (if you're in the EU) as well as any other billing details you would need to have on the invoice. We'll typically issue your invoice within 48 hours, and will enrol you once payment is received.

If the program isn't for me, can I get my money back?Yes! We want you to be able to make an informed decision when you enrol in the Researchers' Writing Academy. That's why we decided to give you a full refund if you decide within the first two weeks of your membership that the program is not the right fit for you. After the first 14 days, it is not possible to receive a refund.

Do you offer support after the first year of membership?Yes, of course! We have quite a high renewal rate of members who choose to stay in the program beyond the first year because the support they get inside the Researchers' Writing Academy is making them so productive.

Your membership will auto-renew after the first 12 months. We'll send you an email about 1 month before your renewal is coming up and let you know your options.

Is there an option to re-enrol in the RWA if I have been a member before? There is! If you are an alumni of the Researchers' Writing Academy, you'll be able to re-enrol on a monthly subscription without the initial 12-month commitment. Just reach out to us and we'll send you the special alumni renewal link.

Let me ask you this…
Let me ask you this…

What would happen in your life and career if you could rely on a systematic process to write papers that get accepted in the top journals of your field?

The question isn't how much time you could save by mastering a repeatable system to write clear and concise papers that get published reliably.

It's what may happen to your career if you do.

Imagine feeling confident about your writing skills. And confident about being able to mentor your students to write their first papers. Imagine enjoying writing so much you look forward to it. And feeling accomplished every time you finish a writing block. Imagine getting articles past the journal editor as the rule, not the exception.

What if you felt like you're exactly where you need to be, and moving forward?

You don't have to figure it out all on your own.

If you invested as little as $97 USD per month for the next year starting today...

... how much time could you free up for your family and private life? And how much ease, motivation, excitement for your academic career would you be able to feel?

For the price of a monthly gym membership or a family dinner at a restaurant (and significantly LESS than the open access publishing fees of many journals or getting just one paper copy-edited), you could learn a time-efficient system to publish consistently, have access to a supportive writing community that keeps you accountable and feel in control of your academic trajectory

I and the whole Researchers' Writing Academy team are ready to support you.

All you have to do is join us and we'll help you get your research out in the world consistently.

Yours,

Hear from the researchers who have taken this scientific writing program:

"I really enjoyed the course. I am an excellent writer and have been writing and submitting manuscripts for a while. However, the course significantly improved my process of engaging with and receiving feedback from my co-authors.

The particular breakthrough I received in the RWA was with regard to the necessary work prior to writing, especially with regard to creating an outline prior to committing to a full manuscript. It sounds like a simple intervention; but it really changed the way I interact with my co-authors. It has cut down significantly on major edits of fully written manuscripts and allows me to fully engage co-authors early on in the manuscript-writing process.

Now there is less confusion and fewer surprises during the writing process!"

Dr Oluwatoyosi A. OnwuemeneDr Oluwatoyosi A. OnwuemeneProfessor of Medicine, Duke University Medical Center, US

"The most concrete result after joining the Researchers’ Writing Academy is that my second PhD article has just been published in One Earth and the fact that it attracted media attention! It was really rewarding!

But what is more important is that I now have confidence in the whole writing process and that is life-changing for me.

I used the Scientific Storytelling Framework taught in the course not only to write my paper but also to prepare for the interviews with journalists.

I think the Researchers’ Writing Academy is the only program available that teaches you how to organise the whole writing process so you produce a scientific paper that gets published."

Maria OlczakMaria OlczakPhD candidate, Queen Mary University of London, UK

"I came into Anna’s program with a pragmatic goal: turn industrial research into publishable manuscripts—fast, reliably, and without the usual drama.

That sounds simple. In practice, I kept hitting the same wall: unclear story arcs, heavy paragraphs, and editing deadlocks that stalled submissions. Writing was a bottleneck, with real operational cost: time lost, projects slowed, impact diluted.

Anna’s framework changed that. I can say it’s not magic; she engineered the writing process. A disciplined, template-driven framework that starts with a top-down approach, then drills into the micro-structure of sentences and paragraphs, and sustains cadence through weekly planning and writing—creating short feedback loops, like a world-class product development process. As a result, targets became clear, editing rounds dropped substantially, and the quality of the text reached another level of flow and cohesion.

With Anna’s supervision, I submitted my first paper using the method in 8 weeks, and two more manuscripts followed soon after.

Most importantly, Anna’s coaching was a game-changer for me. Changed not only how I write but how I operate: assumptions explicit, steps visible, progress measurable. If you need to translate serious research into high-quality publications—without friction—this course is a pragmatic, effective path."
